Job description

We are seeking a personal carer for an elderly gentleman with dementia. This would include safety, assist with mealtimes & provide light personal care.

Responsibilities

• Light personal care to include washing and dressing.
• Taking to appointments.
• Looking after meals.
• Looking after social needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Access NI checks will be required.
• Access to/own car.

Desirable Skills

• An interest in farming or ability to discuss this.
• An interest in assisting with wordsearches.
• Previous experience caring for adults with dementia is welcomed however not essential.
• Ability to remain calm, understanding and patient.

Further Information

Work Time: This post is to cover annual leave of 28 hours x 5.6 weeks in the year, generally between the hours of 9am and 5pm, there would be additional hours during the year for staff sickness and the ideal candidate will be flexible with the families needs.
