Wood CNC Operator
Job description
We’re looking for someone with experience in CNC machining, to support the production of high-quality timber and joinery products in our workshop in Crumlin, Co. Antrim. You will play a key role in the assisting the production process, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Operate a flatbed 4-axis CNC router. Load and unload heavy materials safely.
Responsibilities
- Run CNC independently
- Maintaining machine and tooling
- Program cut files from technical drawings or data
- Stock check of materials and tooling
- Edit and correct files in AlphaCam.
- Regularly maintain machines and tooling.
- Assist in tracking materials and workshop supplies.
- Help manage materials, fixings, and stock levels.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures to ensure safe working environment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic maintenance.
- Run production files and programs accurately.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Joinery.
- CNC Machining.
- Experience running a 4-axis flatbed CNC router.
- An understanding of woodworking and joinery.
- Familiarity with CNC tooling and tool setup.
- Experience using CAM software (e.g., AlphaCam).
- Ability to safely handle heavy materials.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Background in machine maintenance.
- Willingness to learn AlphaCam file editing and programming.
