Book Keeper


Job description

This well established and reputable car dealership are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and take initiative in managing all bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Hours are flexible as in start and finish time and paid overtime on offer. They will consider part time hours up to 30 hours per week and they are flexible on what days.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with accountants.
  • Ensure records comply with HMRC requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash.
  • Process purchase and sales invoices.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Handle payroll for 10 staff.
  • Carry out VAT for car sales, support and training will be provided here.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Previous experience working in a book keeping role.

Desirable Skills

  • Accounts experience processing invoices.
  • Working in car sales in accounts an advantage.

Further Information

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm although flexible and can offer paid overtime too. Will offer part time 30 hours and flexible on which days.
