Job description

Personal carer required to provide essential support to a young lady (20 years) with a learning disability who is incredibly sociable and outgoing. She loves engaging with people and enjoys a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities

• Help with showering, dressing, and hair styling.
• Engaging in her favourite hobbies: music, film, and arts and crafts.
• Accompanying her on shopping trips, especially for toys.
• Other outings especially taking and collecting her from Day Opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience working with adults with a learning disability.
• Understanding and willing to engage fully with all aspects of this young ladies very active life even when challenged.

Desirable Skills

• Be able to demonstrate consideration and support when dealing with occasional challenging behaviour.
