Spray Painter


Job description

Our Client, is seeking Spray Painters to join their team based in Maghera.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing parts and assemblies for painting.
  • Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula.
  • Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition.
  • Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors.
  • Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications.
  • Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes.
  • Utilize solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment.
  • Follow company requirements.
  • Responsible for material and minor maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience spraying Furniture.
  • Proficient in operating and adjusting spray guns, understanding pressure settings, and knowing how to maintain and clean equipment is essential.
  • A good understanding of how to prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying undercoats - there are vital for a quality finish.
  • A good Understanding of different types of paints and coatings, their properties, and how they interact with various surfaces is important.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Good Manual Dexterity.
  • Have good communication and able to follow instructions.
  • Have a willingness to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required.
