Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fire and Flood Restoration Technician to join our restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to residential and commercial properties affected by fire, smoke, and water damage. Your duties will include assessing damage, removing debris and damaged materials, cleaning and sanitising affected areas, setting up drying equipment, and assisting in the restoration process. You will work closely with team members, clients, and insurance representatives to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire and water damage restoration.
• Assess damage and determine the scope of work required.
• Perform demolition, water extraction, drying, and dehumidification tasks.
• Document work progress.

• Willing to work in challenging environments (e.g. smoke-damaged buildings).
• Works well in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in doing quality work.
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job as some heavy lifting involved.

Desirable Skills

• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job as some heavy lifting involved.
• Open to training and certification (e.g. IICRC). Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
