Job description

Personal Assistants required for a disabled man with complex needs. All aspects of personal care including washing, dressing, changing and catheter care.

Responsibilities

• Full personal care including washing, dressing, changing and catheter care.
• Repositioning.
• Preparation of food, feeding and drinking.
• Attendance at social events and medical appointments.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have previous experience including the use of hoists, slings, slide sheets and showering equipment.
• Must be a car driver.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

• Dedicated to providing a high level of support.
• An interest in country music, pub quizzes and social outings an advantage.

Further Information

Work Time: This post is guaranteeing at least 16 hours per week, up to 28 hours available, to be confirmed. 5.6 weeks paid holiday, based on hours worked. Excellent hourly rate.
