Job description

The encompass Pharmacist Analyst will be uniquely placed to support the development of the pharmacy and medicines management applications within the Epic system.

Responsibilities

• Apply sound professional judgement to complex clinical issues and dilemmas, particularly where definitive information is lacking.
• Make recommendations tailored to the context of specific patient groups or situations, high risk prescribing areas and calculations for complex drug regimens.
• Analyse and provide recommendations where applicable to improve current workflows and working practices and manage and direct Workflow Analysts on the according build.
• Participate in testing the system to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Member or eligible to be a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
• Undergraduate pharmacy degree eg BSc, B Pharm, M Pharm or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working with the Epic electronic patient record system.
