Domestic Assistant


Job description

The post holder will maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and laundry causing minimal disruption to our services users and their care.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of cleaning products paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products.
  • Be Health and Safety aware to ensure the safety of our services users and colleagues.
  • Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care.
  • Participation in ward meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and maintain ward cleanliness.
  • Maintain and develop good professional relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work with the elderly.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Will be required to be signed off as competent at the induction training.
  • Eligibility to work in UK.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
