Job description

To assist the Procurement Manager in the provision of a value for money purchasing service to HSCNI customers in line with HSCNI regulations and ISO 9001 procedures ensuring Service Level Agreement and PaLS Service Delivery Plan objectives are achieved. This role is principally concerned with a sourcing / contracting role for HSCNI. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Proactively reviewing and sourcing goods and services in line with value for money principles.
• Purchasing goods and services including the utilisation of the tendering and quotation process in accordance with HSCNI procedures and Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (and any amendments thereto) to achieve value for money.
• Providing purchasing advice and information to customers relating to choice of goods and services.
• Providing general procurement advice to customers.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A primary degree AND at least two years’ relevant experience within the past ten years.
• Or A relevant Professional Qualification, such as full membership of CIPS or CILT AND at least two years’ relevant experience within the past ten years.
• Or Four (4) years’ relevant experience within the past ten years.

Desirable Skills

• Have, or be studying for, a relevant professional qualification such as CIPS or CILT.
