Job description

The post holder is required to assist in the provision of safe, effective, compassionate person centered care. The post holder will assist the clinical staff with the smooth running of the Cardiac Rehabilitation exercise programme and will provide the clinical and administration support to the clinical team. The post holder must ensure that all information regarding patients/service users is kept in strict confidence.

Responsibilities

• Respect the dignity, wishes and beliefs of all the patients/service users.
• Obtain consent from patient/service user for all care and treatment provision.
• Assist in the setting up of exercise class environment.
• Provide direct care to patients attending the Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise programme and help to ensure the smooth running of each patient episode.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• NVQ Level 3 in Patient Care OR A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a HCA Band 2 in Cardiology/Medicine.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of computerised systems, e.g. Encompass.
• Hold a full UK driving licence valid for use In the UK and have access to a car on appointment This criteria Will be waived In the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust.

Further Information

Salary: £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro rata
