Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our service user who needs a Care Assistant. The role offers flexible and initially limited hours, around 2 to 4 per week, with the possibility of increasing as support needs grow. The hourly rate is between £15 and £20, depending on the level of support provided, with travel time to the home potentially being covered. Responsibilities

• The position involves providing simple support such as light housekeeping, odd jobs, occasional driving and other small tasks that the service user, who has a muscle wasting condition and uses a wheelchair, is no longer able to do.
• Tasks may include things like changing a light bulb, planting bulbs, putting clothes away on a high shelf or general household support.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• The successful applicant must be able to drive, as the home is in a rural location, and may at times be asked to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
