Cook with duties listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards whilst complying with food safety regulations.
  • Provision of healthy meals for babies to 11 year olds
  • Assist in devising appropriate lunch and snack menus
  • Prepare meals for a busy daycare environment, taking account of dietary requirements
  • Ensure that all foods are ready at specified time and correctly served
  • Maintain an organised kitchen environment
  • Ensure all statutory records are maintained and checked
  • Stock Control including ordering foodstuffs and stock inventory

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability of prepare freshly made meals from scratch.
  • Willingness to undertake any training required to fulfil job role.

Desirable Skills

  • Level 2 in Food Preparation/Cooking or Equivalent
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Completed Nutrition Matters in the Early Years Training
