Job description

To organise, control and actively participate in the provision of the Interventional Radiology imaging services for the Belfast Trust. The post holder must ensure that a high quality, efficient and effective service is always available including the delivery of the emergency out of hours services. The post holder, working collaboratively with radiography and medical staff, is required to maximise resources and skills to deliver a patient and family focused service based on professional excellence and personal accountability.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience
• A minimum of 2 years working as a Band 6 deputy sister / charge nurse with practical experience in an Interventional Radiology environment.
• Nursing Degree - Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC Register (General Adult Branch).
• Provide evidence of a recognised Nursing or Leadership & Management qualification or willing to undertake same.
• Provide evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
