Job description

To work as part of a team in a busy day care environment, providing a safe and caring atmosphere for the children to grow and develop; having fun and making friends along the way. To have knowledge/understanding of the childcare minimum standards that set the base line for the day to day running of the day care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
• Support children’s personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high standards of care and education.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parents' evenings as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g. CACHE, NVQ or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with children with additional needs.
