Job description

The Bar Supervisor is responsible for the day to day running of the members bar and will be supervised by the Club Captain. The Bar Supervisor will lead a small team and should have experience of supervising staff as well as an understanding of bar management. The Bar Supervisor should have a working knowledge of different types of beer, wine and spirits and their delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bar staff ensuring all tasks are completed to the required standard.
• Ensure weekly/monthly checks are completed by bar staff. Make sure systems and procedures are followed as per training manual.
• Keep track of staff timekeeping for shifts and make sure correct uniform worn.
• Doing regular stock takes and ordering stock as necessary including cleaning products.
• Ensure all stock is rotated so that stock closest to its end-date is at the front and presented in a safe and tidy manner.
• Follow opening and closing procedures correctly, ensuring all staff are confident with each process.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of beers, wines and spirits.
• Bar work experience.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working in a members' club.
