Job description

Are you a Nurse wanting to have the freedom of choosing your own shifts whilst receiving excellent rates of pay. Here at MPA we have been awarded TIER ONE STATUS on the NHS Framework which covers every hospital and trust facility in Northern Ireland including all acute and mental health hospitals, day care centres and residential facilities. We also would be one of the main suppliers into all private healthcare settings so there is an abundance of shifts to choose from. We are currently recruiting nurses in the Derry/Londonderry area.

Responsibilities

• Provide additional help in providing emotional support.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Professional telephone manner & personal contact.
• Assist colleagues in providing residents personal hygiene needs and assistance with dressing, toileting, eating, feeding etc.
• Participate in activities with residents as and when required.
• Helping with personal care such as showering and dressing.
• Monitoring health E.g. - Body temperatures or administering medication. Must be able to do clinical observation duties

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must be currently registered on the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
• All mandatory training up to date
• Be able to be confident in their practice working with pre and post op patients.
• Be able to nurse emergency patients with varied dependencies.
