Job description

The post holder will work as an effective member of the Primary Care Team, delivering high quality care and treatment within a Prison environment. Care delivered is equal with that provided in the community. They will provide day to day management and professional leadership to a team of nurses within the prison environment and will work in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team and with colleagues in the Northern Ireland Prison Service. They will be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective response to healthcare emergency situations and provision of appropriate care including onward referral and care arrangements as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability of the live NMC Register.
• Have three years post-registration experience within a clinical setting.
