Receptionist
Job description
Aim To provide the highest standards of customer service in a quick & efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Day to day operation of a busy Reception Desk.
- Effective and accurate cash handling and reconciliation as laid out in hotel till procedures, policies.
- To have a welcoming and friendly approach and uphold the standards set.
- To liaise with other departments in an efficient manner.
- To ensure effective operation of the switchboard.
- To assist the head receptionist in the smooth running of the front of house department.
- To order and store stock required in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and rules.
- To observe all requirements under Health & Safety at Work Act 1989.
- To provide mentoring in areas of responsibility.
- To up hold the standards and reputation of the Hotel at all times.
- Any other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 4 GCSEs (or equivalent).
- To be highly motivated and show initiative.
- To have excellent communication and computer skills.
- To be able to show attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a previous role.
