Job description

This post provides specialist nursing clinical care and support within the Urogynaecology service. The post holder will provide Nurse led specialist Urogynaecology services for women with pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction alongside the existing Urogynaecology multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise, specialist advice and support to women across Urogynaecology Nursing Services, ensuring that the provision of excellent evidence-based nursing care is maintained.
• Identify changing health care needs at all stages of pelvic floor/ bladder dysfunction, liaise as necessary with other members of the healthcare team and actively participate in the coordination of care pathways for women with Urogynaecology needs.
• Perform urodynamic diagnostics at their nurse Led clinic.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 (Adult) of the NMC Register.
• 2 years’ post registration experience including 1 year within women’s health services.
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car is essential.
• This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.

Desirable Skills

• Recognised Urodynamics course or willing to undertake training within one year of appointment.
• Recognised course in the fitting and management of vaginal pessaries or willing to undertake training within one year of appointment.
• Recognised Smear sampling course or willing to undertake training within one year of appointment.

Further Information

Location: Altnagelvin Area Hospital. Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum pro rata.
