Job description

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Field Operatives to join our team on a busy vegetable farm. This hands-on role involves the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of a variety of field-grown vegetables, primarily brassicas (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli), leeks, sprouts, and other seasonal crops. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team in an outdoor environment, playing a vital role in producing high-quality vegetables for local markets and wholesalers.

Responsibilities

• Planting crops manually and/or with machinery in prepared fields
• Harvesting vegetables by hand or with mechanical assistance
• Grading, trimming, and packing produce for market
• Operating and maintaining basic field tools and equipment

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in farming or horticulture (preferred but not essential)
• Physically able to carry out manual tasks for extended periods
• Able to work efficiently in a team and follow instructions
• Willingness to work outdoors
