Job description

You will be required to help to deliver a high-quality educational service based on the six areas of learning as recommended by the Department of Education to their key child, provide quality care, ensure the safe of their key child and other children and help provide a stimulating and fun play environment.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be required to provide one to one care/support for a child with special educational needs.
  • Preparing suitable activities for the key child.
  • Follow the plan in place, set up and help the key child take part in all the group’s activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 1 years’ experience in a PEAG setting, a school/nursery setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Mathematics and English Language.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience working with SEN children.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Childcare.
  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Child Safeguarding Certificate.
  • Competent in computer skills.
