Providing safe, creative play opportunities and preparing activities in a caring environment.

Responsibilities

• To work as part of a team by assisting in the day to day operation of the Childcare service.
• To assist in providing a high quality, safe, caring environment for the children.
• To undertake regular checks of equipment and resources.
• To support our core team and to cover for periods of staff absence.
• Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.
• Working within agreed policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• NVQ Level 3 Childcare Learning & Development (or in the process of completion). A Health & Social Care qualification is not considered equivalent.
• Relevant experience working with 0-5 year olds.

Desirable Skills

• 1 years experience of working with 0-5 year olds.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Up to date Child Protection training.
