Job description

We are recruiting home care assistants for a home care package in the Waterside. This is an overnight rota from 20:00 - 08:00. Full training for this role will be provided by NWCare in their in-house training academy, but the successful applicant will need to have at least six months previous paid caring experience. Please note: Criteria for this role is that you apply for an Enhanced AccessNI certificate

Responsibilities

• Care of a Service User with complex needs in his own home environment.
• Full training will be provided by NWCare.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A minimum of six months paid caring experience
• Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
• Great communication skills
• Able to promote and deliver person centered care
• Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
• Be well organised/professional/caring
• Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care
• Care about the community they live in

Desirable Skills

• QCF Level 3 in health and social care
