Job description

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Yard & Trade Sales Assistant to join our team. This role is customer-facing and hands-on, involving trade counter sales, yard duties, and assisting with the planning of customer deliveries. You’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive excellent service, stock is well managed, and the yard operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Assist trade and retail customers with enquiries, orders, and product selection.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders.
• Assist with planning and coordinating customer deliveries.
• Process sales transactions and handle basic administration duties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication and people skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to organise with strong attention to detail, especially when planning deliveries.
• Basic IT skills for sales, delivery scheduling.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a yard, trade counter, or customer service role (preferred but not essential).
• Forklift licence an advantage (training can be provided).

Further Information

Occasional Saturdays (08:00 - 13:30) on an alternative rota basis.
