Job description

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of a range of systems, including: Fire alarms and detection systems Intruder alarms CCTV systems Access control systems You’ll work across a variety of sites, providing technical expertise, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering an exceptional level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain fire & security systems to industry standards
• Carry out fault-finding and repairs efficiently and accurately
• Complete all required documentation and reports in line with company procedures
• Provide on-site support and advice to customers, maintaining strong relationships
• Participate in the out-of-hours callout rota (with additional pay)

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in fire & security engineering (multi-disciplined preferred)
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., FIA units, CSR/CSCS card) are desirable but not essential
