Part Time Role Saturday & Sunday evenings Additional hours may be available This position is to provide support to an individual with dementia to help engage the service user in activities and provide evening supervision in their home. Must hold a valid UK driving licence. Willingness to undertake Access NI.

Responsibilities

• General supervision to ensure safety of the individual
• Assistance with preparation of meals and snacks
• Assistance to attend social and support groups at the individuals request
• Support to attend appointments such as dentists, medical appointments, hairdressers & shopping
• Maintaining a clean and tidy environment with light cleaning duties
• Provide support and companionship to the individual in their home

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Effective communication and social skills
• Good active listening
• Flexible, reliable approach to role

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in working with individuals with dementia in a paid or voluntary capacity
