DFC Work Experience - Oven Cleaner
Job description
We are a family run company with nearly 20 years’ experience in the services industry. We provide an oven and appliance valet service across Northern Ireland and Ireland. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised oven cleaner to help deliver day to day operations and ensure the smooth delivery of our service. You will be joining a welcoming and supportive team and an offer of permanent employment will be available on completion of the placement (if competent to work independently in a company van). The role involves cleaning domestic appliances (ovens, hobs, extractor fans, washing machines, fridge freezers etc.) at customer premises i.e. private houses, businesses, holiday lets etc. You will be partnered with an experienced appliance technician for mentoring and training. Working alongside your mentor, you will attend jobs in Northern Ireland with adhoc travel to the Republic of Ireland. Ongoing training will be provided to support the successful candidate as they progress and settle into the role.
Responsibilities
- Valet appliances to a high standard.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Accurately operate IT required for the job e.g. iPad
- Act as a point of contact between the company and customers.
- Complete forms and workflows as part of day to day duties.
- Cash handling & payment processing.
- Any other duties as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with good organisational skills/time management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills working with the public and within the team.
Desirable Skills
- Previous driving experience & knowledge of NI road network.
- Oven cleaning experience.
- Cleaning experience.
- Customer service experience.
Further Information
The employer is The Oven and Appliance Cleaning Company This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 30 hours per week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
