Seaview House Private Nursing Home is a small, 22 bed, independent nursing home located overlooking Ballyholme Bay. We are looking for a Senior Health Care Assistant (nights) to join our team and would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• To support residents to achieve their best life in accordance with their care plans and wishes and to support and lead the care team in delivering best care in accordance with policies and best practice guidelines.
• Provide professional leadership and mentoring to Health Care Assistants to maintain excellent standards of performance, to ensure awareness and implementation of best practice.
• To assist RNs to assess, plan and implement personalized care for each resident and keep individual residents’ care plans up to date and to inform and update the care team in a timely manner.
• To continually monitor residents’ mental status and cognitive abilities within the framework of their care plans, and report any concerns as immediately.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To assist with pre-admission assessments as required and to take ownership of ensuring bedrooms have passed all room checks prior to the admission of the resident.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Previous elder care experience.
