Job description

We’re hiring a Customs Clearance Agent. You’ll join a high-performing team and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities

• Process import/export documentation in line with customs regulations.
• Calculate duties and VAT for CDS and AIS imports.
• Verify invoices, commodity codes, and EORI numbers for accuracy.
• Request and file direct representation authorisations.
• Communicate with customers via email and phone.
• Complete supplementary declarations (office hours and on-call).
• Handle red, orange, or yellow routings and notify customers of delays.
• Stay current with customs regulations and participate in training.
• Manage shipping requests and provide booking confirmations.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor road freight shipments from collection to delivery.
• Liaise with clients and transport providers.
• Prepare and process all necessary transport and customs documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Maths and English
• Experience in customs clearance or a similar logistics role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and customs systems.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.

Desirable Skills

• Experience on Freight Forwarding beneficial.
