Our Client, Goulding NI Fertilisers, a manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of fertiliser products to the agricultural sector across Northern Ireland, are seeking an Electrical Mechanical Technician, based in Maydown Derry/Londonderry. Goulding NI Fertilisers produces high-quality NPK compounds, speciality mixes and trace element fertilisers tailored to different soil and crop requirements. Through its Nutri-Match service and in-house laboratory, Goulding NI provides customised fertiliser solutions designed to optimise crop performance and nutrient efficiency. The company also promotes sustainable farming practices through its Fertile Future programme, focusing on improving soil health, reducing environmental impact and supporting long-term agricultural productivity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high output production line
• Complete the day-to-day production requirements
• Dealing with any issues that may arise
• Fault diagnosis in electrical systems and equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings
• Maintaining an organised work environment
• Work to quality standards
• Will perform other duties as directed
• Ability to work overtime including weekends/bank holidays if required
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience as an electrical or mechatronic technician
• Achieved a recognised electrical qualification
• Working knowledge of the following, Hydraulics, PLC, Pneumatics, SCADA systems
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to make decisions, plan and prioritise work
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Flexibility in working hours during the high season.

Desirable Skills

• Candidates ideally have forklift experience, however this is not essential as Forklift Licence training will be provided
• Experience working in a busy environment.
