Pottery Studio Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: FIONA SHANNON CERAMICS This is an exciting opportunity to join a small artisan pottery business based on the North Coast. You will be assisting owner/potter Fiona to undertake a wide range of duties in the pottery studio helping and learning about all aspects of the business. Fiona set up her business in 2016 upon returning from her studies and has been going from strength to strength since exhibiting in galleries nationally and internationally, selling online and through a number of retailers, collaborating with local businesses, running pottery workshops for children and adults as well as facilitating large scale community art works. You will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of this fast growing business.
Responsibilities
- Clay recycling.
- Assisting with pottery production.
- Assisting packing kilns.
- Packing up and shipping orders.
- Assisting to manage and maintain an online shop/website and social media channels.
- Assisting Photographing products for an ecommerce Website.
- Preparing and assisting with pottery workshops (due to working with children and vulnerable adults Access NI check will be ran on the successful applicant).
- Assisting to keep the studio tidy.
- Diverse and interesting business where you will see every aspect of it.
- Other duties as and when required.

Essential Skills
- Have a willingness to learn.
- Have teamwork and good communication skills.
- Have good time management skills.
- Basic English and Maths.
- Be happy to do hands on work.
- Pay good attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Creative Flair.
- IT Literate.
- Social media skills.

The Employer is: FIONA SHANNON CERAMICS JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information -Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. -Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. -Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
