Job description

Transport our Service users from their home to our day centre Monday to Friday. Transport our Service Users for social and educational outings.

Responsibilities

• Secure wheelchair users before travelling using the recommended restraint devices.
• Where necessary assist Service Users using wheelchairs or walking aids in any manner possible with regards to their needs.
• Assist Service Users into and out of the Minibus.
• Support our Service Users in group and leisure activities.
• Good communication and understanding of people with learning disabilities.
• Responsible for the appropriate vehicle health and safety checks.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have a clean driving license (car) and have held yourlicense for at least 2 years.
• Must be willing to undertake all D1 driver training, CPC training and a medical.

Further Information

Essential driver training will be provided 'free of charge' to the successful candidate.
