Job description

We are looking for a kind and caring person to work and socialise with a young male on a Wednesday afternoon for 3 hours per week from 3.30pm - 6.30pm. This is a temporary role with the potential to be made in to permanent role. Additional hours may be available. Access NI required. Passionate about making a difference, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Safety; Ensuring the safety and well being of the individual, and reporting any hazards or concerns to the Employee.
• Mobility Assistance; Support with any physical or mobility requirements.
• Emotional Support; Offer companionship and engage in activities with the individual.
• Daily Living Assistance; to assist the individual with meal preparation.
• Personal Care Duties; to assist the young man with personal hygiene tasks such as, washing & toileting

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and understanding of the challenges individuals with disabilities face
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility to changing schedules and procedures

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working with individuals with disabilities
