Job description

To assist a young man for 1.5 hours in the morning to transfer from the shower chair and provide minimal assistance with drying and dressing. He requires supervision and minimal assistance to transfer into a wheelchair from bed.

Responsibilities

• This carer will assist with minimal dressing the morning.
• Washing Machine and tumble dryer to be checked.
• Help with emptying the indoor bin into the outside one.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience working with a spinal cord injury person who is now residing in a wheelchair - advanced wheelchair user.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Flexible.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and be supportive.
