Join Our Team as a Project Worker 2 - Volunteer Coordinator At G-old Sure Start, we know the power of community. For over 24 years, we've been supporting families with children under 4 across Mid Ulster, delivering high-quality, inclusive services that focus on early learning, positive parenting, health, wellbeing, and family connection. We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our passionate team. This is a rewarding role where you'll play a vital part in shaping, growing, and celebrating the contribution of volunteers who make such a difference to children and families in our catchment area in Mid-Ulster.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers for our Early Years Programmes and our Breastfeeding Peer Support Service.
- Provide ongoing guidance and supervision, ensuring volunteers feel confident, valued, and supported.
- Build strong partnerships with community groups, schools, colleges, and health professionals to promote volunteering.
- Organise recognition and celebration events that showcase the impact of volunteering.
- Act as the first point of contact for new volunteers, helping them feel welcome and connected.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience of supervising staff or volunteers
- Experience of record keeping and reporting data using IT systems (e.g. Excel, Word)
- Experience of delivering talks or presentations to audiences
- The post holder will need to travel across the Mid Ulster area, so a full driving licence and access to a car
- Flexibility is essential. Some evening and occasional weekend work will be required to meet the needs of volunteers and the families they support.
