Administration and Fundraising Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: GLOW - GIVING LIFE OPPORTUNITIES TO WOMEN This role will provide administrative support across the organisation while assisting with fundraising activities to help Glow NI grow its impact. It is an exciting opportunity for someone starting out in their career to gain valuable experience in charity administration, communications, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to all staff including coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and managing office supplies.
  • Take minutes during team and board meetings, ensuring key decisions and actions are clearly recorded.
  • Disseminate minutes promptly to staff, board members, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist the CEO in preparing and circulating board meeting agendas, reports, and supporting document.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Oversee general office maintenance and ensure a clean and organised work environment.
  • Assist in the formatting and editing of revised policies.
  • To support Glow NI staff with monitoring and evaluation processes by collecting and inputting data.
  • General administrational duties including filing, photocopying and mail duties.
  • To be responsible for staff record keeping i.e. personnel files, sickness and annual leave records and weekly attendance sheets.
  • Assisting the CEO with the HR and recruitment processes.
  • Assist with researching potential funders and grant opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of funding applications and reports.
  • Help with planning and delivering fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Liaise with supporters, donors, and volunteers as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Hold a relevant qualification, in administration or non-profit management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with database management software.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of fundraising or marketing in a charity setting.
  • Creative skills (e.g., social media, design, writing).

Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
