Job description
Preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Using a till to take orders and process payments. Checking customers identification and age verification. Engaging with customers and advising them about current promotions.
Responsibilities
- Health and safety in the work place
- Food safety in the work place
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Cleaning, prepping and stocking the work place for service and closing up duties after service.
- Service and knowledge of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, hot and cold beverages.
- Service and knowledge of wines, cocktails and speciality coffees.
- Providing a food service as required.
- Providing room service if required.
- Assist prepare and clear rooms for events if required.
- Assist with luggage and other duties which provide service excellence to the hotel guest.
- Adhering to company policy and procedure.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good social and communication skills

- Good local knowledge.
Desirable Skills
- L2 certificate in general food and beverage service skills.
- L2 apprenticeship in hospitality and catering (food & beverage services).
- L2 award in the principles of customer service in HLTT.
- L2 diploma in professional food and beverage service.
- L3 apprenticeship in hospitality and catering.
- L2 NVQ diploma in food and beverage service.
- L2 health and safety at work.
- L2 food hygiene.
- Professional experience of similar 4 star hotel.
- Professional experience of bar and floor service.
- Knowledge of wines and wine service with the ability to upsell.
- Knowledge of cocktail making and service with the ability to upsell.
