Community Based Counselling Service Co-ordinator


Job description

To coordinate the marketing, promotion, delivery, administration and reporting of The Community Based Counselling Service. The Community Based Counselling Services Coordinator will support operational management/ leadership in the dqevelopment and delivery of high quality recovery-orientated services (both clinical and non-clinical) across the disiplines of mental health, substance use, self-harm and suicide prevention. The post holder will assist the Community Based Counselling Services Manager in ensuring the safe, effective and efficient management of mental health, substance use, self-harm and suicide prevention services. The post holder will support the implementation of all statutory and regulatory requirements, financial requirements and provide effective and supportive line management across their area of responsibility. There will be a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary/inter-agency working to provide excellent and safe services for the people we support. The post holder will be required to build excellent interpersonal relationships with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders and work closely with the Manager to deliver on the strategic and operational aims of the Community Based Counselling Service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of service delivery, ensuring all contractual timeframes and targets are met.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate collation and completion of regular and ad-hoc statistical reports and preparation of information for audits, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Support distressed clients through the provision of support and escalation to the wider team as appropriate.
  • Assist in the refinement of operational approaches to deliver effective and continually improving mental health, substance use and self-harm and suicide prevention services.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Either: A third level qualification, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in a similar role.
  • Or: A minimum of 4 years’ experience gained in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining accurate records, data analysis and preparation of detailed reports.
  • Demonstrable experience of using information management systems to manage data and provide analysis.
  • Experience of contract management, including the capture and collation of quantitative and qualitative data, meeting targets and KPIs.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in partnership and fostering relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of administrative, written and presentational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workload to ensure effective and timely outcomes.
