THE EMPLOYER IS: BETHANY FRUIT MARKET To play an active role in the smooth running of Bethany Fruit Market - providing friendly, knowledgeable service, keeping our produce displays fresh and appealing, and helping maintain our reputation for quality and care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, providing friendly, helpful service.
• Keep produce displays fresh, tidy, and visually appealing to Bethany’s high standards.
• Weigh, pack, and label produce accurately and neatly.
• Receive, unpack, and rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Assist with preparing trade and wholesale orders for local cafés, restaurants, and offices.
• Operate the till (after training) and handle cash/card payments accurately.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.
• Carry and lift boxes of fruit and vegetables safely as part of daily stock movement.
• Take part in training and regular reviews to build skills, confidence, and product knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of fresh, local produce and healthy food.
• Have the ability to maintain high standards of work and presentation.
• Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of social media and online retail.

The Employer is: BETHANY FRUIT MARKET JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
