Stock Room Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: GHOSTBOND UK LTD The Stock Room Assistant will work as part of our warehouse and fulfilment team to support the daily flow of stock and customer orders. The participant will gain practical, hands-on experience in order picking, packing, stock checking, and warehouse organisation. The role involves maintaining stock levels, preparing shipments, and ensuring goods are packed and dispatched accurately. Full training will be provided in all warehouse systems, stock control procedures, and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately using order sheets or pick lists.
  • Labelling and preparing parcels for dispatch and courier collection.
  • Checking incoming stock deliveries, recording quantities, and updating inventory systems.
  • Organising products within the stock room to maintain efficiency and easy access.
  • Assisting with cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with company health and safety standards.
  • Assisting with product restocking and warehouse maintenance tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good attention to detail when handling stock and orders.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and written instructions.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording and checking quantities.
  • Willingness to learn warehouse systems and manual handling procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong focus on completing tasks correctly.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or fulfilment role (not essential).
  • Basic understanding of stock control or courier dispatch.
  • Awareness of safe manual handling practices.
