Job description

The Yard Person will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, organisation, and maintenance of materials, products, and equipment within Relinea’s yard. This role ensures smooth workflow between production, dispatch, and delivery operations while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate lifting equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, pallet trucks).
• Assist with the preparation and packaging of orders for dispatch.
• Carry out routine inspections of equipment, tools, and vehicles to maintain operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements and yard activities.
• Organise and maintain stock of materials and finished products in designated yard areas.
• Ensure all yard operations comply with company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with production and logistics teams to support efficient workflow and timely deliveries.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free at all times.
• Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
