Practice Manager (Medical)


Job description

To manage the day to day administration of the practice in an efficient and effective manner, to ensure a high quality of service delivery to patients.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 4 years in a GP setting in a managerial or supervisory post, Or 4 years managerial experience in an office environment.
  • High level IT literacy skills.
  • 3 A Level's grades or equivalent A-C or above.
  • 2 years financial management experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working in a primary care setting.
  • Recognised Practice Managers diploma eg AMSpAR or ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management Or University degree or Business Management qualification.
  • Human Resource Management, including recruitment, training & supervision, performance mangement & development of staff.
  • Financial acumen & experience in business planning.

Further Information

Hours of work: 30 per week to be discussed at interview. Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 per annum, pro-rata based on a 37.5 hour week, depending on experience. NHS pension. On-site parking.
