Stores Operative
Job description
To ensure all material and parts are controlled and managed in an organised and efficient manner within the stores area. NB. This job description is not exhaustive, as other duties may be required to fulfil the requirements of the role. Applicants are expected to be flexible and to undertake other appropriate duties and occasional work at weekends, evenings and public holidays. Applicants must have access to an appropriate method of transport to enable them to fulfil the needs of the post.
Responsibilities
- Adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Good inwards goods off load, verify against paperwork and verify quality
- Stock management ensure stock is put away in applicable section of stores
- Despatch accurately ‘pick’ goods for fabrication, site, assembly or spares
- Maintain target 5s standards for work area and identify and implement improvements.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
- Stock counting assists with the routine physical stock count and checks stock levels on request.
- To adhere to CDE policy and practice.
- To protect the confidentiality of all information and data held privately.
- To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role
Desirable Skills
- Material picking using handheld scanners
