Technician Assessor - Electrical
Job description
The Technician Assessor will be responsible for supporting learner development and achievement by providing high quality professional and technical training and guidance to participants on the Electrical apprenticeship programme. The Technician Assessor will observe and assess course participants underpinning knowledge in relation to work based qualifications across the electrical area.
Responsibilities
- The Technician Assessor will be responsible for supporting learner development and achievement by providing high quality professional and technical training and guidance to participants on the Electrical apprenticeship programme.
- The Technician Assessor will observe and assess course participants underpinning knowledge in relation to work based qualifications across the electrical area.
- Prepare participants for the scheduled practical and theoretical assessments scheduled during the programme.
- Manage the learning environment ensuring that all delivery is in line with Health and Safety requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
- Hold or be in the process of completing a recognised assessor qualification, e.g. D32/33, A1/A2 Assessors, TAQA Award or equivalent OR give a commitment that you will undertake a recognised assessor qualification within one year.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in the area of Electrical Installation.
- Have a current driving licence and access to a car (Applicants with a disability who have been prevented from obtaining a driving licence due to their disability (as defined by the DDA 1995) are eligible to apply.
Desirable Skills
- Have experience of teaching and/or training.
