Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: PENNYBURN COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP. The role will include assisting with implementing the typical day within the setting, assisting with the child's routines and planned play activities, assist with health & safety and risk assessments, being aware of child protection issues and reporting any accidents or incidents to a senior staff member and ensure all information relating to the children, parents/carers and staff is treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• To assist staff with daily play routines.
• To help with the children’s break time.
• To set up and tidy all areas of the setting.
• To support staff with planning play activities.
• To work with the children including, jink art, jig-saws, story time and all other planned play activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have a good knowledge of Maths and English.
• Have a genuine interest in and ability to engage positively with children.

Desirable Skills

• Show empathy and care towards the children.
• Be respectful towards staff.

The Employer is: PENNYBURN COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP. JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
