At Moylena Court and Cedar Court, we provide 24-hour supported living for adults with enduring mental health conditions. Our service is made up of shared living at Moylena Court, where residents enjoy a strong sense of community, and more independent bungalows at Cedar Court, where support is provided flexibly based on individual needs. This is a role for someone who brings kindness, initiative and a team spirit, and who wants to support people to live independently, with dignity and confidence. To assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in the effective and efficient management of mental health & addiction services by implementing all statutory and regulatory requirements, managing the budget and resources efficiently and supporting the Manager, Deputy Manager and staff team to achieve the organisational strategy. The Senior Project Worker will assist the Manager and Deputy Manager to promote and implement Recovery by using a strengths based person centred approach.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Performance Management System with the staff you line manage ensuring operational objectives set are strategically focussed and personal development objectives are based on an accurate competency assessment.
  • Assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in the smooth running of the service and assume responsibility when requested by the Manager and/or Deputy Manager.
  • In the absence of a Manager and Deputy Manager, deputise for the service by ensuring that the general duties, necessary reports and documentation are completed within the timeframes as required.
  • Attend, contribute to, and actively participate in handovers and team meetings and facilitate the meeting as required.
  • Support junior staff, liaise with colleagues and managers / other professional personnel to report and record progress or difficulties and in particular any issues of concern, unusual behaviour or deterioration in health and ensure compliance.
  • Support the Manager and Deputy Manager to organise the provision of support for service users including; staff rotas and the allocation of duties and key worker responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis. Early shift, late shift, to include week ends, night cover, sleeping or awake as required to meet the needs of the scheme and on-call rota.
  • A Professional qualification for example:
  • Professional Social Work Qualification and registered on the appropriate part of NISCC
  • First level registered Nurse on the appropriate part of nursing and midwifery council register
  • A qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • AND A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a health and social care setting OR
  • Be educated to QCF/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a related subject for eg care plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a social care setting.
  • Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies.
  • Have an understanding of managing monies.
  • Have proven experience of motivating Services Users.
