THE EMPLOYER IS: ATELIER HAIR CO LTD The junior hair stylist will support the salon team by delivering hairdressing services at a junior level, assisting senior stylists, maintaining salon presentation and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The role will provide hands on training in professional salon work, client care and technical development.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, get them comfortably seated with magazine and refreshments.
• Ensure the relevant stylist is notified of their clients arrival.
• Assist at the front desk when needed.
• Assist senior stylists in applying colours, foils and gloss under guidance.
• Perform basic colouring and toning services as assigned.
• Apply hair treatments (deep conditioning and masks).
• Perform basic services; shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying and styling.
• Ensure work stations / tools are clean, sanitised and sterilised as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the salon, sweeping hair, washing towels and refilling supplies.
• Be able to recommend and sell appropriate hair care / finishing products to clients based on their hair types or treatments.
• Maintain retail stock displays.
• Participate in training courses in cutting, colouring and product use.
• Seek feedback and work to improve technical skills and creative ability.
• Keep up-to-date with hair trends, styles and new product lines.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good verbal communication and client service skills.
• Team player, able to work cooperatively with other staff and take consistent direction.
• Good time management, able to manage schedules ensuring services run on time under supervisions.

The Employer is: ATELIER HAIR CO LTD JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
