THE EMPLOYER IS: T'S REMOVALS & STORAGE LTD T’S Removals and Storage is seeking a reliable and hardworking Removals Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our clients' belongings. The applicant will be tasked with safely loading & unloading our customers belongings in the most professional manner possible. As a porter, your primary role will be to deliver outstanding customer service at all times and ensure every decision you make is for the benefit of both the customer & the business. Full training, uniform and protective footwear will be provided by us.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading items with the utmost care, following best practices for handling and safety.
• Complete checks in the back of vehicles to ensure all equipment is there and in working order before each job.
• Conduct inventories of items being moved to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during the moving process.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle and equipment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Packing customers belongings in a professional manner.
• Assisting our clearance division with dump runs.
• Other duties deemed necessary by management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift heavy items.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Time management.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in removals or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in dismantling and reassembling furniture would be beneficial.
