Marketing Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: ULSTER SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT LIMITED The role will involve working alongside the marketing manager to create, manage and schedule content across Usel’s social media platforms and monitor engagement. You will work with other Usel staff and programme participants to gather information and success stories that can be shared on our social media platforms or in the staff newsletter. You will also provide admin support to the marketing manager and help create marketing materials that can be shared at events to promote Usel’s brand. You may also be required to attend events with the marketing manager to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and schedule daily content across Usel’s social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and track performance metrics.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop content plans aligned with campaigns and key initiatives.
- Support the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, digital assets, and presentations.
- Assist in writing and editing content for web, email, and social media.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, and videographers when needed.
- Gather testimonials and success stories from individuals and partners who have worked with Usel.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to collect approvals and relevant visuals.
- Help turn testimonials into engaging marketing content.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in implementing marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct research to support marketing strategy and audience insights.
- Track and report on campaign performance.
- Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Manager and wider team.
- Help coordinate events, photoshoots, and marketing activities.
- Manage databases, update records, and maintain marketing assets.
Skills and Qualifications

- Proficient user of social media platforms.
- Good creativity and design skills.
- The ability to follow instructions.
